Hi my loves! I personally adore shopping, but being on a college student’s budget it is not always easy for me to consistently make new purchases. I decided to visit the thrift stores that are in my area for some inexpensive finds and I lucked out and found quite a few items that I really liked! Some people are averse to thrifting because, “used clothes”, but its actually a really nice way to find things that everyone else won’t have, and to find items that are usually very expensive at a low price! Also, a lot of thrift stores usually send their profits to causes in the area. Saving money and giving to charity? Who wouldn’t love that??? I picked up a lot of items that I needed for winter, like turtle necks, a jacket, and a new coat, so it was the perfect time to sport my new finds! Keep reading to see what I purchased and hopefully it will inspire you to take a trip to your local thrift store.
I picked up this white turtleneck ($3.99) and army green skirt ($4.99) and paired it with my tan coat, a pair of black tights and gold accessories.
I also picked up this beige turtleneck ($4) and paired it with a denim skirt, my brown ankle boots and gold accessories.
I fell in love with this black velvet bustier ($7.50) as soon as I saw it and knew it would be perfect for an all black fit.
Another turtleneck! This time in black ($7) and I paired it with a denim jacket that I found ($6, can you believe that?? Most denim jackets are $30 at the LEAST!).
I had been looking far and wide for a black coat and I happened to find this one and knew I needed it, especially for only $20! I paired it with this grey turtle neck ($1.99) and a denim skirt ($5) and my favorite sparkly tights.
All of my purchases came out to be about $70 which was great for the types of items that I got and the amount items. Now don’t be afraid to browse your local thrift stores because you may find that one item that you have been looking for for a while. Have you found any cool things from a thrift store?
