At the beginning of the summer I was a hair model for Mielle at a convention here in Atlanta. It was fun and plus I got my hair and makeup done for free, who wouldn’t love that?? An added perk was a box of products from the different Mielle lines. [So this is technically not an unboxing because the products have been sitting on my desk for months, HOWEVER I am still catching up on blogging so be a cool person and just pretend.] I received 5 products in total and they are a mix between hair care and skincare, and we all know both of these can get a little pricey so THANKS MIELLE!!
One of the products I received was the Mongongo Oil Style Setting Spray, “to set the hair for indirect heatless styles”. This product is meant to give your hair hold so it can be used in place of a holding cream for twist-outs, flexi rod sets, etc. or it can be used as a LOW-HEAT protectant spray, possibly for when you are diffusing or drying your hair . Now, I have very thick hair, so I’m not sure how well this will work for hold, but it my be good for when I dry my wash n’ gos!
I also got the Mongongo Oil Exfoliating Shampoo, “to clarifying deep cleanse to remove product build”. This shampoo is said to cleanse your hair without depleting its natural moisture and promote healthy hair and scalp. It smells AMAZING and I love a shampoo that promises to keep moisture.
Next is the Pomegranate & Honey Hydrating Face Mask, “gently cleanses your pores resulting in a radiant glow”. This mask is infused with charcoal powder so it detoxifies your skin and pulls out any impurities and the pomegranate and honey and used to support your skin’s college and moisture balance.
Another skincare product, the Pomegranate & Honey 2-In-1 Face Scrub & Cleanser, “helps exfoliate skin and cleanse pores by removing dirt, oil, and impurities. I probably will not be using this product because it uses walnut shell flour to exfoliate your skin and scrubs are not good for your skin at all. They can cause micro tears so I will stick to my clay, cream, and sheet masks!
And lastly, I have the Pomegranate & Honey Revitializing Face Serum, it “moisturizes and hydrates the skin, leaving skin soft and smooth”. Now, everyone knows I love a good serum, especially a moisturizing one. This one uses vitamins, amino acids and minerals from sea weeds to provide moisture, improve the skin’s elasticity, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
