It seems like summer was so long ago, and now the weather is changing, the leaves are falling, and everyone is ready to be cozy. Let us take a moment and remember all of the great looks from the past season. Here are some of my favorite looks from the summer.
Yellow
The color of sunshine, summer, and happiness. Yellow was one of my favorite colors for the summer. It looks great on all skin types and has a way of making your eyes shine, skin glow, and smile sparkle. I preferred to wear it as a solid color, with no patterns. It’s easy to pair with a simple short or skirt, and to wear as a dress. The color is eye catching and is great to brighten up a look.
Off-The Shoulder
Shoulder baring tops were a big trend for the summer. They were perfect for the weather, and could be made more casual with linen shorts or dressed up with a skirt and a pair of strappy heels. These tops come in many different pattens and colors and are great for any occasion. Off the shoulder dresses are also a fun take on the trend.
Button Downs
Button downs are great for the summer because they are lightweight and can be worn casually or for a more dressy affair. Pair with a bandeau to add a bit of color or to play off of the other colors in your outfit.
White
White has always been a staple for summer. Its a classic look and is the theme for many events and parties throughout the season. I went for a simpler look by pairing a plain bandeau with pinstriped pants so that the pants would garner most of the attention. I added the statement necklace to make the outfit more dressy.
